Tulip acquires data center facility in Bangalore.

          BANGALORE: Tulip Data Center Services Pvt Ltd, an arm Tulip Telecom, has acquired the data center facility here from SADA IT Parks Pvt Ltd (SADA)for Rs 230 crore. The company has also decided to undertake Rs 670-crore investment in the coming three years for facility upgradation.

             Mr Sanjay Jain, CEO of Tulip Telecom, said, “The company has made Rs. 230 crore as the upfront payment, which will come from Tulip's balance sheet, while about Rs. 270 crore will be generated from the Data Center revenues, and about Rs. 400 will come from external funding for which we are in discussion with strategic investors.”
            This data centre is spread across 900,000 sq ft. The firm is planning to fulfill the demand of both foreign and domestic customers via this data centre.
