The question paper of II year pre-university Chemistry exams were leaked even before the exam has been started, this exam was scheduled at 1,032 exam centres in Karnataka on Monday.
Pallavi Akurathi, the director of Department of Pre-university Education (DPUE) told that on the condition of anonymity a student from a city-based college submitted a handwritten questions of the Chemistry question paper to DPUE before the exam started on Monday morning. "Out of the 37 questions in Chemistry question paper, 36 questions are leaked. We have considered this issue seriously. We are going to file a complaint at Malleswaram police station to find out the source of the leakage of the question paper." DPUE revealed the leakage of question paper at 6.50pm.
DPUE has ordered a departmental investigation to find out the source of the leakage. As a preliminary step for conducting fair and impartial enquiry regarding the sources of leakage, chief superintendents and joint chief superintendents who were entrusted the supervision of conducting the examination at SASM PU College for Women, Bellary and Government PU College, Kolar have been suspended.
Over 6.5 lakh students have registered for II year.
